Sad week for a Mommy:-(

My baby, firstborn, and best friend will be graduating high school on Friday.
She she is already contemplating her next move as she also turns 18 in about 2 weeks . "sigh" How much can one mother handle.
I remember the day she was born. She came in with a wail and has been a HUGE handful from the day she was born.
She is intelligent, opinionated,beautiful, funny, and she loves her God.

We have our daily spats as I think we are both very hard-headed but I wouldnt have it any other way.
She makes me laugh and makes me cry . She can bring out the best and the worst in me.


I could not be more proud of her. She is very scared of being an adult and it is ok to stay my little girl for a while longer if she wants:-)
She has lived her life as a true original . She never took the route of peer pressure and has held fast to her beliefs of no sex before marriage, no drugs, alcohol, smoking , lying etc. We get an occasional white lie but otherwise she has been an honor to parent.

We have been through every hair color/style and every makeup color/style.Even through the torment she gets form other kids she still held fast to her morals and to this day has no skeletons in her closet. I hope that I ahve raised her well enough to now venture on into the world as an adult and a great member of society. I know that in order to be all she can be she has to leave here eventually but , I want to be selfish and keep her here while on the other hand I know she needs to go and follow her own dreams.
Please say a prayer for my baby as she starts on this road to the rest of her life. And keep your eye on her, She is very talented and and creative so she may show up in your town some day.

Any vacation ideas?Tips? suggestions? California beach disney trip

My kids have wanted to go to california for a while now. I am thinking in honor of my 18 year graduating this year.
Hubby is working out of town so we will be going without him I think.
Any suggestions for a road trip with a very moody 18 year old. an always hungry 15 year old, Very mellow but scrappy 10 year old and a 3 year old?
Probably looking at like a week and will be in anaheim at least 1-2 of those days for Disney..
Then I am sure they will want to hang at the beach for a few days and shop as well. My son would just as soon be in Alaska but, another time, maybe for his graduation.
So any ideas for a great place to stay? I would like to stay close to Disney a night or 2 then either Santa Monica or something of the sort. SM is so expensive for a room but I think at least a night or 2 where the beach and all are within walking distance so we dont have to drive.
so hit me up if you ahve suggestions. Dont be afraid.. Lurkers unite, I really need some help here!

Yes I do have diarrhea of the mouth.

I have so many things I needed to update since my computer has been down. All of you moms. Are you as ready as I am for school to be out? I know crazy, catch me in 2 months and I will be biting my chatty little tongue.
i am so sick to death of school this year. My oldest graduates this year so we are up at 5 am for her, my son is up at 6, my 10 yo is up at 7 and then my 3 YO is up around 10:30 ( yes he like sto sleep in LOL)
So pretty much I am up at 3 and then have to coordinate and schedule everyone to be ready and gone at different times. My oldest drives since she works or has night school every evening my son started riding the bus to school ( we live about 25 min from each of their school)
I am tired of remembering when oldest works, has school, has to have certain things done, and fees, and lunch money and blah blah, then the same for the other 2. My 3rd born wont get her yearbook from school as I forgot to pay until it was too late and she is BUMMED!I pay for the other 2 when I registered them but since there are no fees in elementary school I just flat out forgot.:-(
I am ready to sleep til 8, be able to jump up and camp, go to the city to shop, go on our little mini vaccations I LOVE to take throughout the summer. I am jsut very very ready to just chill out, not think about schedules or anything. In fact most summers the 2 middle kids have either baseball, soccer,church camp, etc that I sign them up for , at their request of course, and my 10 year old usually goes to a summer program offered by the school.
This summer I have No one scheduled for ANYTHING! Nothing, The oldest will be working but other than that we have no pressing issues and I am so relieved, for now, :-)
Hopefully we can spend the summer goofing off, not worryin about time.
I think of that Song by ALabam that ahs the words " I'm In a hurry to get things done,I rush and rush until lifes no fun. All I really got to do Is live and die but I'm in a hurry and dont know why"
That is so so true.
Sometimes I find myself hurrying to get home from wherever, insert any word here. and then I try to slow myself down byt thining Why? And I cant answer it. I am in a hurry to get to the grocery store or school or my parents, when I get there I am in a hurry to get hom, then when I get home, I wonder why I was hurrying? uggh, I can always find something to do here but it really is nothing that is pressing that cannot wait 10 min, 30 min a day etc. I think I may have passed this on to my oldest and she is a mess. I think she has a serious anxiety disorder. She worries about everything and actually worries about worrying ?
How do you slow yourselves down?
These are my thrift-found canisters. Arent they cute, but, I have no way to use them as canisters . I use my giant cracker jars in the cupboard because I do not have the counter room right now since our kitchen is the VERY last thing on the list to do.
Don't know what to do with them but I still think they are pretty cute.

Need help with some paint color choices.

I bought these giant frames at the thrift. They were Very nice frames and HUGE I mean they are like 30 inches wide and nearly as tall. Int he frame was a piece of sheet metal like someone was using them for a magnet board. I wanted to take it a step further and try out my chalkboard paint so I painted the sheet metal. now it is a chalkboard/magnet board. As you can see in the picture , My wall is natural honey colored oak beadboard. I want to paint this but am at a loss , I of course have black, I have some deep blue , burgandy and white. No other really coolor combos going on here. What color for the frame? I hate to do it black as my butcher black and phone table are distressed black but I do have a few dark blue items as well.
I did one for my mom to to go along with her mothers day gifts but I left hers natural as her walls in her dining room are a light blue color.
Also I bought the coolest mirror that is already distressed for me, It is pretty large It has hooks at the bottom as well as a small shelf type rim on the top. I would love to keep it white but the rooms I can hang it in are the beadboard honey oak color and then my LR is like a cram / white color , It looks like white if you ahve no white to contrast with so the mirror is too light, My LR has dark burgandy leather sofas, a pebble colored carpet, my endtables I finished in a black with some burgandy under and my coffee table is a dirty white color with black peeking under . There is also a Big Mustard barn star so... What color do ya think? I keep going to black but I think I would have to join the 12 step black paint program LOL..
You can see a little wall color, my coffe table and the sofa, stuff is a little darker as this was with a flash but you get the idea. I want to paint it a good color that I wont change immediately as I HATE to sand LOL.

My curtains in the dining room are a reddish and mustard check. I think I want for sure hand it in here as I have this huge empty spot in my living room right next to the plasma and there isnt a lot I want there, My dad does paintings an I have 3 already in there so I wanted something that would make the room seem more open and light since there are 2 walls with no windows...
Suggestions anyone?

Whew. Blogging from my new laptop and some updates

So I FINALLY rcvd. my computer after struggling with the other forever. I really miss my old one but I think I will get used to this one. It has a full sized keyboard and I havent typed on one for ages since all of my others have been a smaller size. This puppy is HUGE!
We have BABIES. We hatched 7 little chickies in my incubater, some surprise eggs that I rcvd online. Wow! Their is a wide assortment. I have more in but, another 3 weeks for htem. We got a little crazy looking guy that has no feathers on his neck, a turken, 2 little black and yellow babies, a Black guy with a white mohawk, and a tiny little bantam silkie. Cute, although they are living in my craft room in a box with a light rihgt now, I am sure in a few weeks I will be tired of their messes

Howdy! Been gone too long,

I just got my brand spankin' new puter today. My last one had its 2nd hard drive failure so I bit the bullet and ordered a new one. I am still trying to figure it all out.
ALLLLL of my pictures are tied up on my old computer but I am going to try to get them off with one of my older laptops.
I have a ton of new pics to show you all and lots of things I need advice on. So tomorrow after I get my housework done I will start posting some pictures.
