I officially have tagged myself a LAZY bum. Today I lounged and laid around most of the day. I did dot he obligatory laundry, dinner, lunch but otherwise vegged out on the bed and watched movies and surfed the net. It is just me and middle Smurf so She is so past hanging with me all of the time and is in fact in the living room enjoying the whole house and TV and INternet to herself :-)
Grandma has youngest smurf. It really gives me a much needed break but I sure miss him especally lately when he can come up with soem of the funniest comments.
The best this week was we were watching tv and he was trying to get into nap mode. A commercil with a middle aged nice looling girl hiking and eating clif bars was on. His comment" Hers wooks wike you Mom"... I said" Oh thank you" then tot he next commercial it was a diet program and the only picture is a very thin six packed ladies stomach with a measuring tape stretched around it to which he commented" Dat wooks wike yous bewwy mom" " Ahhhh Thanks Bud, and I am thinking maybe he really see me like this LOL. Onto the next commercial and it is a girl about 15 years old talking about some computer class or something and he says" Her wooks wike Gwamma mommy " Thud.. hhuh? you are not serious are you? You have been shining me on all this time. I look at him and his grin is as big as his face. Sigh...
That is exactly what I miss when he is not here.. Not to mention the troubles with the stools lately. He is now forbidden from stools of all shape and sizes. Tuesday he Did a "little laundry" when I thought he was in with his sister . He came running for his stool so he could wash and I thought they were washing hands. Nope , wrong again. middle smurf rounded the corner and I heard the gasp and then the footsteps poundind to tattle.... MOOOoooooOOOOOMm. He dumped all of the laundry soap AND fabric softener on top of and in the washer... I had been washing his blankets. it took 5-6 washings to get it out and I can say our throws have not smelled more "springtime fresh" in fact it is almost sickening.
Now jump forward to Friday,,He is at his little table and goes to get his fork, I am sort of sidetracked watching cnn but I am present. I get up find it aasking what ya doin buddy? " UGHHH I round the corner and Holey Moley! He has dumped a JUMBO coofe creamer can of creamer into the water reservoir of the Bunn coffe maker as well as the whole sugarbowl. He said he was "making you sum toffee".. grrr. but all these times he was helping. This short oon the heels of the washing mess though and as soon as he seen my face he put his self into timeout LOL.
Grandma and Grandpa think he is the BOMB and the kids think he is hilarious. Even when he is telling oldest smurf " dont embawass me ok" Lol. Where does he learn this stuff. In fact he was doing shadow puppets and saying lets do shadow puppets although we were in the dark with no shadows, i had to wonder where he picked this up? Kooky,,
Oh and ht STRANGEST THING! I bought a new huggies Overnight diaper as he ahs really had some bad leaks lately ( time to relly push the potty training) and we took the first one out and youngest smurf said" What these smell like?" I sniffed and they smelled minty but he had been running around with gold bond powder so I though eh' must be that. Well it got stronger. I went clear to the bottom of the NEW bag of not cheap diapers and everyone of them smelled like a menthol smell. I have never seen or smelled that before ever! So we are not using them but am unsure as to what to do. This stinkin" literally) bag was over 20 bucks and I dont want to donate that... decisions.
